Lack of Education Breeds Poverty

According to United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF report), 31.4 percent of Filipino children nationwide are affected by poverty, while incidence of child poverty in Mindanao is higher at 48.2 percent.

The 2016 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey (APIS) showed the country has about 3.8 million out-of-school children and youth or about 10 percent of the 39 million Filipinos with age range six to 24 years old. One in every 10 Filipinos aged 6 to 24 years is an out-of-school child and youth.

Out of every 100 Filipino school children enrolled each year, 66 will complete elementary education and 42 will graduate high school. Only 14 can earn a college degree. (UNESCO)

Send a Child to School Project

By sponsoring a child’s education, you give them a brighter future. You become their hope.

You Make a Difference

It does not cost a fortune to send a child to a public elementary school. In our area of operations, all we need is HK$500 every year to buy a child a new school uniform, a pair of shoes, a school bag, school supplies, and pay for the required school miscellaneous fees. We provide the most basic things the children need to go to school and encourage parents to continue providing the rest as much as possible.

Give children a brighter future. Give them hope.

The cost of a high school student attending public high school is about HK$ 1,200.

As a sponsor, you will receive individual information about the child. At the end of the school year, you will also receive performance report of the scholars.
